Dr Pawlik runs a family planning clinic on most Monday afternoons for the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and intrauterine contraceptive devices (coils). For more information, please make an appointment with a GP or nurse to discuss your options.
The ‘Changing Minds Wellbeing Teams' provide an innovative and person centered service for individuals in Northamptonshire, who may be at risk of or who are experiencing a period of mental distress. As well as our practice, there are many other local NHS services you can contact for health advice, information or treatment. Before you do, remember that you can treat many minor ailments such as colds, coughs and indigestion by keeping a well-stocked medicine cabinet at home. We suggest you keep the following:
111 offers free expert health information and advice 24-hours a day by calling 111. If English is not your preferred language, you can choose to use a confidential translation service.
Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice at any time – you don’t need an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an contact with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial contact as early as possible - preferably 10 weeks before you travel - as an appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your appointment needs to be at least 4 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
For travel within 4 weeks – we will be unable to assist and you should approach MASTA 0330 100 4268
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Here's a checklist of the vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them.
** Where two or more injections are required at once, these should ideally be given in different limbs. Where this is not possible, injections in the same limb should be given 2.5cm apart.
